CITRUS GARDEN

Citrus Garden /ˈsɪt.rəˈgɑːr.dən/ is a project founded with the artist Francesco De Grazia, from a common desire to create refreshing and immersive experimental music. Our journey began when we decided to blend our unique backgrounds, and our shared passion for experimenting with sounds and atmospheres.
NO-FI
No-Fi is an EP that we started composing in 2023 inspired by the exponential rise of the Lo-Fi scene.
After completing the first three tracks, Voice Mail, Find My Way and July 9th, we realized that what we were creating didn’t quite belong to the genre: many of the familiar stylistic elements were either too far removed from convention or entirely absent, leaving room for a different kind of sonic exploration.
Two years later, during one of our many reflections on music and our projects, we began to wonder: perhaps our very approach, free from genre-bound preconceptions, was the truly interesting element all along.
From that realization came one final track: Zermatt, dedicated to a visit to the Swiss town of the same name. We found the draft of the project in our hard drive and completed it in August 2025.
Alongside this release, we included four bonus tracks under the title Loupe, meaning “magnifying glass”. In these pieces, we bring to the forefront elements that would normally remain in the background, turning them into protagonists. You’ll hear: the crumpling of an empty bread bag, melting ice cubes, footsteps in the snow, and playful experiments with screws and hex keys. These sounds serve as our “tape texture” across the tracks, alongside a palette of self-recorded noises, field recordings, and other manipulated sounds that form their foundation.
The project is titled No-Fi, a name that captures everything described above. It represents the natural closure of a journey that will likely remain one of a kind.
